We will need many steps to succeed in this tournament – Japan captain Yamauchi

 

Ankara, Turkey, August 12, 2015 – Japan outclassed Cuba in straight sets 25-16, 25-10, 25-20 in Pool B on Wednesday evening. Read what coaches and captains said after the match. 

Japan coach Kiyoshi Abo: It was a good start for our team, I am satisfied. Nevertheless, we need to improve our services and some attack combinations. 

Japan captain Misaki Yamauchi: We will need many steps to succeed in this tournament. Today’s match was a puzzle of strong teamwork and powerful offense. 

Cuba coach Wilfredo Robinson: We are a very new developing team and that’s why we have made a lot of mistakes, we will learn from them the more we play in this tournament.
 
Cuba captain Claudia Hernandez: We are a new team and made a lot of errors but we are here to experience in learning and reacting quickly just like the final set.
