We stayed positive – Bulgaria captain Barakova

 

Ankara, Turkey, August 13, 2015 – Bulgaria defeated Colombia 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 30-28) in Thursday’s first match of Pool A. Read what coaches and captains said after the match. 

Bulgaria coach Atanas Lazarov: We started well but couldn’t stick to our gameplan throughout the whole match. Still, I am proud of my players. 

Bulgaria captain Petya Barakova: Our fighting spirit was one of the key factors for today’s victory. We were a little bit nervous when Colombia had their set balls in the third set but eventually stayed positive and won. 

Colombia coach Eduardo Guillaume: I’m not satisfied with the first two sets but pleased with the final set. We need to play a lot of games at this level for us to gain more experience.
 
Colombia most scorer Amanda: This wasn’t a hard match for us but we just need to work harder.
