This is a very hard tournament - Dominican Republic coach Pacheco

Ankara, Turkey, August 12, 2015 – Dominican Republic made a great start to the FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17) victory against Peru. Both Dominican Republic coach and captain were very happy with the result.

Dominican Republic coach Wagner Pacheco: This is really a very hard tournament. For us it is harder because we are younger. It was a tough game. We are very happy with the result. We hope we will continue like this.

Dominican Republic captain Brayelin Elizabeth Martinez: We were here to win today and we are very happy to manage it.

Peru coach Natalia Malaga: This is only the beginning of the tournament. We wanted to have a better start but we will get better in next games. Our concentration was low. This was the only missing thing for us today.

Peru captain Clarivett Yllescas: We started with a loss but this not the end of anything. I am sure we will have better results in next games. We have to play better.
