I’m pleased with the result and proud of my team - Japan coach Abo Kiyoshi

 

Ankara, Turkey, August 14, 2015 – Japan seizes a win off Thailand on Friday’s first match of Pool B. Japan wins 3-0 in three straight sets (25-20, 25-23, 25-15). Find out more about the coach’s and player’s view of the game. 

Japan coach Abo Kiyoshi: I’m pleased with the result and proud of my team. We are making the most out of what we have prepared for. 

Japan player Arisa Inoue: I’m extremely pleased with the win today as we returned with a win after losing against Thailand last time we played in the Asian games; we will continue to focus on winning the next games. 

Thailand coach Nataphon Srisamutnak: Japan had a strong defence system which and we made a lot of mistakes which cost us the match. 

Thailand Pimpichaya Kokram: We played a slow game and were disorganised so we lost. We can play a lot better and I think we still have a chance.
