Ankara, Turkey, August 17, 2015. Host team of FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship reached the semifinals without losing a game in preliminary round, winning 3-0 (25–21, 25–13, 25–17) in final Pool match against Colombia.
Turkey coach Ferhat Akbaş: We are happy to finish preliminary round with a perfect score. We had a good result in preliminary round. Now our aim is to beat Japan. In semifinals you should not make any mistakes. We hope we will play good against Japan and reach the finals.
Turkey setter Ezgi Dilik: It will be a tough game against Japan in the semifinal. And we are going to be the winning team.
Turkey opposite Melis Durul: We are heading to the finals step by step. We will make our fans have joy of the world championship.
Turkey setter Çağla Akın: We hope to be in the finals.
Colombian coach Guillaume Eduardo: We played against one of the strongest teams in this championship. I expected to play better. We played with good attitude but we made a lot of mistakes. We need to put more effort to be better and win an extra match that we think we can lose.
Colombian captain Maria Alejandra Marin: We wanted to play a good match against Turkey but we could not. Our serves were not efficient. Turkey is a very strong team. My favorite is Turkey for this tournament.
