Semifinals were our aim - Dominican Republic coach Wagner Pacheco

 

Ankara, Turkey, August 17, 2015. Dominican Republic team was very happy after reaching semifinals winning Thailand 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-13)  in FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship. Read more about the Coach’s and player’s views of the match.
 
Dominican Republic coach Wagner Pacheco: We played really good during the preliminary round. Reaching the semifinals was our main goal before coming to Turkey. We are glad to manage this. Now we are in the best four. It will be a tough game whoever we will play against but we will try to win.
 
Dominican Republic libero Perez Winifer Maria Fernandez: We are very happy. First two sets were very tough but we controlled the last one. This is a big success for us. We will do our best to be in the final.
 
Thailand coach Srisamutnak Natap: We played our own game in the first set but we could not maintain it. Dominican Republic is the strongest team in our Pool. We couldn't stay competitive. 
 
Thailand captain Guedoard Pornpun: We tried to do our best. But Dominican Republic is a really strong team. We were very tired in the third set.
