Ankara, Turkey, August 18, 2015. FIVB Women’s U23 World Championship Italy qualify to compete for the 5-6 rank after winning a tough match against Thailand 3-0 (25–23, 27–25, 28–26) in the classification matches. Read more about coaches and captains reviews.

Italy coach Luca Cristofani: It is extremely difficult to play against Thailand. We managed to set up an effective block-defense system. My players did an outstanding job today.

Italy middle blocker Sara Bonifacio: It was very important for us to win the decisive points in today’s match. Our self-confidence grew during the match.

Thailand coach Natap Srisamutnak: It’s a pity that we lost today but this is a good experience for our team. Our players can learn a lot from this game. When we had problems with defence, we were not able to make good attacks. So we allowed them to make strong counter-attacks.

Thailand captain Guedpard Pornpun: We are a little bit disappointed because the game was really close. But we lost eventually. We made mistakes on reception and our attack was not that good in the last part. That is why we lost.
