China begin the tournament with a victory

 

Ankara, Turkey, August 12, 2015 - In the game between two Asian sides, China defeated Thailand 3-1 (25-27, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23) in Pool B at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s U23 World Championship on Wednesday at Başkent Volleyball Hall. 

Li W.W. led the winners with 23 points.

Thailand tied the score at 19-all by coming back from 6 points, despite China controlling. Thailand came back to win the first set by 27-25. 

The game uncovered after the first set where China made a comeback regaining control and dominating the second and third set however, both teams fought tensely on the fourth set which led to China winning.

China secured the victory thanks to nine blocks and eight aces. 

Thailand was not effective enough in their offense apart from the first set they won.
